Chili Powder Is the Foundation, Not the Whole Flavor

People assume "chili powder" is a single spice ground from one pepper. It's usually a blend of dried chilies with other spices mixed in - which is a little funny, since it's already doing part of what a "seasoning blend" like ours is trying to do, just on a smaller scale.

It's the biggest single contributor to the flavor of the Taco Seasoning, but it's not doing all the work alone - cumin, paprika, and garlic all have to show up too, or it just tastes like generic heat instead of something specific.
